Version 2.0.2.1 of the Aten USB-serial converter driver has been tested successfully on 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Version 3.7 and 3.8 of the Aten driver cd-rom contain this version of the driver (the version number of the cd-rom is written on the cd-rom itself). This driver should only be used on 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7; this driver has not been tested on W8, 8.1 or 10 32-bit systems. On 64-bit operating systems Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 or 10, use the 64-bit driver instead.

I have an issue where my prolific USB to Serial adapter stopped being detected as 'n "Ports (Com & LPT)" device.
